Lookup i think?

Hi everyone.

Im having real trouble with a 2 variable lookup function and if anyone can help I would really appreciate it.

My table can be simplified to this:

AA CC EE
BB DD FF
A 1 2 3
B 4 5 6
C 7 8 9
D 10 11 12
E 13 14 15

So I have A in one cell and CC in the next and need it to return 2 in the third cell. Any ideas folks. Thanks in advance!
