    increase/decrease number of decimals

Let's say I put the formula =1/3 into cell A1. It currently shows "0.333333" Let's say I want to decrease the number of decimal places shown to two, so that it displays "0.33"

Is there a simple keyboard shortcut that does this? A keyboard shortcut that changes the number of decimal places shown. Thanks!

There's a button on the Formatting toolbar with a right pointing arrow and ".0" above ".00". Click on this as many times as you need to reduce the number of decimal places displayed.

If you attach a sample of your workbook it will be easier to find a solution. Remember to remove/replace sensitive data before uploading the file. Look here if you need help with attachments:

There isn't a keyboard shortcut for that operation built into Excel, but it should be easy enough to make one using VBA.
