Custom Lookup Function

Ok, I am trying to create a fucntion in vb that will ask for a value from spreadsheet "A" to lookup in a range of cells in spreadsheet "B". Then identify the row the value was found and then place the letter "I" in the same row on spreadsheet "A" in a specified column.

Please help.
