The use of AI tools (e.g. chatGPT, BARD, GPT4 etc) to create forum answers is not permitted. If a user is believed to have used such tools to provide a forum answer, sanctions may be imposed.
HOW TO ATTACH YOUR SAMPLE WORKBOOK:Unregistered, Fast answers need clear examples. Post a small Excel sheet (not a picture) showing realistic & representative sample data WITHOUT confidential information (10-20 rows, not thousands...) and some manually calculated results. Merge 2 XLS files into 1

Excel 2000

I need to Merge 2 .xls files into 1. How can I do that?

I tried Pivot (Microsfor Excel List or Database).. did not work....

I tried Pivot (External Data Source) with Microsoft Query and it is not installed on my comp. The guy with the CDs at work is gone for the day.

Any ideas? I need this done ASAP.

Both have 1 main column that is the same. I need to match them up and then Insert on of the columns into the other xls spreadsheet.
