Running macros in Excel97 that was created in Excel XP

    Hey guys,

I was looking for some info about compatibility issues on running macros in 97 when the macro was written with Excel XP.

I'm having problem with users who still have 97. My macros just will not work with them. The error is related to using the Advanced Filter function.

    Many thanks,

With each release of Excel,Many commands are update with enhancements that are not compatible with older versions of Excel

It is best to develop your macros on the lowest version of Excel that will run them to avoid this type of problem.

Suggest that you use a pc running Excel97 & record a macro whilst you manually do the autofilter and then replace your autofilter commands with the recorded commands.

    Thanks.

Yes, that's the option I've taken.

So annoying, since using the old version has made things just that little more fiddly.
