Using FV for investments

When I use the FV function, it becomes a negative number as for a loan. How do I make it a positive number for investment? Could someone please email me the answer at danashokes@gmail.com? try entering your value of payments as a negative

Thanks, it worked. I just had to start =-FV(... and enter the formula.
