Hours and number calculation - how

I have a spreadsheet where I had the hours of something. I need to calculate the number of hours with the fee per hour, however the figure is not correct. How do I need to write the formula for it to be correct.

Example 04:07:00 hours*£1200

Hi,

the site http://www.cpearson.com/excel/datetime.htm#AddingDates explains times and dates.

for Hours you need to multiply by 24 to get the integer Hours - thus 4:07:00 * 24 * 1200 will give your figure just short of 5,000 that you seek.
