Prob with SUM Function

I have a simple sum formula which adds up column of numbers however the result always comes out as 0 even through on the formula preview and evaluate box it comes out as 47. I suspect this is quite a simple problem with the formatting of the destination cell although the format is set to number and when I try the formula in another cell is still get a total of 0.

Any Ideas.

Are you sure the numbers you are summing are numbers and not text?
