I'm having trouble with my numbers when merging from excel to word. my numbers are merging with two decimal places but when it merges onto word, the decimal carries 7 places. example 19.70 merges to 19.699999999 ????????

Hi,
You are probably using a ODBC connection which "forgets" the format, whereas with a DDE link, everything would be fine ...

I should have added as an alternative to changing the connection, that you can always, within Word, add formatting switches to your field codes ...
For example :
will display: 19.70![]()

We are in an Excel Forum .. so I will not expand on Word ...
Open Word
and from menu select Insert Field MailMerge ... and follow instructions
to replicate example I already gave you ...
