    Sorting with Vlookup

I have a problem with my spreadsheet.

I have about 10 different columns on my main sheet. The first 4 columns are through a query and I have a macro which updates the data. The rest of the columns are on other sheets and are transfered over using the Vlookup function.

When I attempt to sort by a column that is using the vlookup data, the rows do not stay linked together and the information gets rearanged.

Is there a way I can prevent this from happening

    Hi,

select the data by rows, (or select the whole sheet) and then sort by column(s) as required.

    Hi,

I assume you can't paste special the values ??

How about a little recorded macro to copy the values into some helper columns and then sort of them and have the macro delete them when done ??
