CONCATENATE w/Dates

Hi All:

Cell I6 = 10/31/06
Cell I7 = 11/05/06

Formula I'm using is:

=CONCATENATE("For Dates Between ",I6," and ",I7)

Yet it's outputting serial text:

"For dates between 39020 and 39027"

Obviously, I want it to output the date formats, i.e.

"For dates between 10/31/06 and 11/05/06"

How do I write the function to accommodate dates?
