automatic calculation of date minus 4 days

Hi there,

What I would like to do is make excel look at the date in column E, for example (cell E2) 16.05.2006, then take this, calculate it minus 4 days, and display autmatically the date (in this case it should then be) 12.05.2006 in column D. (in this case cell D2).

I can not get this done. Can you please tell me how to do this guys? I'm really an excel starter.....
