    Need help with difficult Formula

    Hi Guys,

I've been trying for too long now to make a formula (which works) for my excel workbook.

If I enter a serialnumber in column B2, like for instance 41692733, I want this formula to find the serial in a worksheet named UNAS_SHIPPED. This worksheet list is called UNAS_SHIPPED. the formula i have made is the following one:
    =VLOOKUP(TRIM((SUBSTITUTE(B2;CHAR(29);"")) );SHIPPED_UNAS;29;FALSE)

can you guys please help me with a correct formula?

The idea is that I would like to enter a serialnumber in cell B2, in the worksheet MAIN, and then automatically see in cell O3 what excel has found for results in the worksheet UNAS_SHIPPED.

    Thanks for your help!

Assuming yuo have named your ranges correctly and you want the char(29) at the end, which you do not mention, we do not know what is happening to give a good answer. However your named range highlighted in red appears to be the opposite way round to your description

This worksheet list is called UNAS_SHIPPED. the formula i have made is the following one:
    =VLOOKUP(TRIM((SUBSTITUTE(B2;CHAR(29);"")) );SHIPPED_UNAS;29;FALSE)

I guess you may have to tell us more information

    Regards

    Dav
