Overtime Wages

Hiya,

I'm having some problems with a function of mine, I'm making a VERY basic program with Excel and I'm trying to get some functions done in it which are what I'm assuming pretty simple.

What I'm trying to do is simply caculate Hours * Wage and if the person works over 40 hours they get 1.5x their pay in their extra hours. I have everything working, besides the over time part could anyone help me? Thanks so much!

My basic layout is this:
..|A.........B............C............D........................E..........................F
1|Name...Wage..... Hours..... Gross Pay.............Taxes (22%)........ Net Pay

3|Smith...$12.00... 50..........$600.00 (should be $660.00)

And my formula which isn't calculating overtime:
=IF((C3<="40"),B3*C3,IF((C3>"40"),B3*C3*1.5))

Also if you'd like you could help me with Taxes and Net Pay, but I *think* I can handle it Thanks!
