vlookup to multiple worksheets

hi i am new here and just register, i am trying to do a vlookup on multiple worksheets, i can't put everything on one worksheet because there is to much data, i have 26 worksheets - one for each letter - this is for a hospital and the patients are listed by last name on the correct worksheet, the first column is the medical record #, i am trying to create a worksheet in wish i can type in the medical record # in it populates everything else and prints it, my problem is trying to do a lookup on multiple sheets at the same time. any help would be greatly apprieciated. thanks ed
