Adding 2 different percentages to figures

To a sheet of existing figures I have to add 15% to eac one then add 17.5% to the answer. I am sorry to be asking what I assume is a very easy question to most people on here

    Hi claireinlincoln,

Try this, put 1.15 in a spare cell on the sheet, then copy, then select the cells you have your figures in, right click and pick paste special > operation multiply.
This will up date your figures by 15%. Once you have done that repeat but with 1.175

Or do the same with formulas in case the data changes. the previous post does work.

if the values are in a1:a100 say, in b1 put a1*1.15 to add the 15%

in c1 put b1*1.175 to add the (17.5% Vat?)

then copy them down for the other rows

If you just want the final figure in b1 put =a1*1.15*1.175

    Regards

    Dav
