    Commas where decimals should be

    Hi all,

My excel worksheets have started placing commas where decimal stops
should be, such as in currencies and numbers with decimal places. Does
anyone know how to stop this occuring?

    Many thanks,
    Ty

Look at the Regional Settings in the Control Panel (not Excel).

    Hi Tyrone,

This usually happens when the system settings have been altered for whatever reason.
Go to START/Settings/Control Panel and check that Regional and Language options are set the way you want them - A lot of European countries use the comma where the UK and US uses a decimal point and vica-versa.

    Cheers

Usually caused by Regional Settings, but another spot to check.

    Tools>Options>International.

If "use system separators" is unchecked you can swap the comma and decimal dot.

Some wag may have done this to you.
