I want to change the row and column heading in Excel to bold type but I can
find out how to do it. I have seen it on some spreadsheets in Excel 2003, but
I can’t find the switch.

Select an empty cell out of your data range.
Format>Style>Normal>Modify>Font
Change to Bold and OK your way out.
Note: This is workbook setting and new or existing workbooks will not be
affected.
If you want this for all new workbooks, open a new workbook and modify then save
as a Template(*.XLT)
Name it BOOK and store it in your XLSTART folder.
This will be the default workbook when you click on File>New or on the File>new
tool button.
