    Delete (') from Excel cells

I have Excel worksheet with 25,000 entries, all imported from a supplier,
with (') before item numbers. I have tried the Tools, Options, Transitions,
clear Transition Nav keys but nothing happens.

Please tell me that I will not have to manually delete each ('). It is
necessary to delete (') in order to perform a Data Sort on these items for
    data input on my site.

    Thanks for any help.

    Hi txblondsmom,

    To do this:
.. Put the number '1' in an empty cell.
    .. Copy it
.. Select the 25,000 item numbers
    .. Choose Edit|Paste Special|Values|Multiply

    Cheers
