what is the problem, when value comes up in the total column

I'm new to excel spreadsheets, and would like to know what to do when value
comes up in the totals column

that means that somewhere in that column there is a formula or function with
an "error".If the total is value either that formula is giving the value
error or somewhere in the column you have a value error.Without knowing what
you have cant say any more than that
look in help for Correct a #VALUE! error
