Can the sheet tabs be color coded?

Does anyone know a way that the worksheet tabs on a spreadsheet can be color
    coded?

RE: Can the sheet tabs be color coded?

When I right click on the tab, I get the following:

    Insert
    Delete
    Rename
    Move or Copy
    Select all Sheets
    View Code

I have Excel 2000 - I don't know if that is the problem or not.

Colored tabs were introduced in Excel 2002. They are not
    supported in earlier versions.

    That's our difference.

I don't think it can be done in 2000. Can someone else confirm this?
