    Number conversion to Hours

    Hello,

    Can someone tell me how I would take 79.5 (formatted as general) and convert
    it to time 79:30. Thanks

    Hi

    Excel stores times as fractions of a day, so in an adjacent cell, so
    assuming you have 79.5 in A1
    enter =A1/24

    Divide by 24 then format the result as [h]:mm (Format > Cells, click the
    Number tab, select Custom and enter that format string in the text box)
