    Removing macro

When I open up an existing excel file, a gray colored box apppears. It states
that macros' may contain viruses and then asks if I want to "disable macro"
"enambe macro" or " more information"
I have gone to my "tools" button, then "macro" tab and clicked it and there
does not appear to be any macros. At one time a had a few but I removed them,
and nothing now shows under "macros", yet when I open up the excel file it
keeps impliing that I do have some macros in the file.
    Any suggestions? I use Excel2000
    Thanks

Macros can be hidden from the tools|macro|macros dialog.

If you're sure you don't need them, Debra Dalgleish shows a way to clean them
    up.
