    worksheet copying, changing source link

    sometimes i get a "formula too long" message when i copy a worksheet from one
    workbook to another and try to change the source link to the new workbook. is
    there a way to avoid this because it gets locked up when this happens.

    shorten the name? or the formula or use defined names
