    Pivot Table Question

Can the pivot table feature be set-up to only apply to unfiltered data - for
example if my worksheet has a column filtered.

    Thank you in advance ?

    Re: Pivot Table Question

No, the pivot table uses all the source data, not the filtered table.

You could use an Advanced Filter to extract some of the data to a
different worksheet, then base the pivot table on that.

    RE: Pivot Table Question

    hi carl,

the pivot tables look at all the data in its source range. however, if you
can use the filtered field in the pivot table itself, then you can filter it
from the table view. if it isn't used in the table itself, you can use it in
the page field. if you are already using the page field, then you may have to
copy the filtered data to a new sheet, etc.
