There are two way I can do what I'd like so I'll give both examples and see what can be done. I have to create a bid sheet to be printed that is idiot proof in showing important dates that are coming up.
Version 1:
I have three columns that will show on print out:
Action Due Action Time Type of Action
I have eight columns in which I put various dates:
RFQ RFQ Time Walk Through WT Time Mtg Mtg Time RFP RFP Time
In a perfect world I would like to find the earliest date that is prior to (today) which I found the earliest date using MIN but formula would not allow me to make it <Today. Once that date is found I want to take that date, corresponding time, and column heading and place it in the three corresponding action columns. If the date is past today I just want the action columns to stay blank. I have not been able to find any type of formula to link the cells randomly.
Version 2:
Remove the action columns and just highlight the earliest date & corresponding time. I tried the conditioning format tool but have never been able to get it to work and can't find any help in the help menu. Plus I have the same problem finding the earliest date that is before today.
Any help would be appreciated. Note I am a novice user so complicate sequal language needs to be spelled out for me. Usually when I get those responses I cut and paste and make changes as needed until I get it to work.
