Difficult if statement need help

Here is what I want to do, I have tried as much as I know but cant get it right.

This simulates pretty much what I am doing.........

If cell F3 is blank do not calculate anything. Otherwise calculate G3+I3-J3-K3. But if cell G3 is also blank calculate J3+I3-J3-K3 instead and vice versa on the calculations.

=if(f3="","",if(g3="",j3+I3-j3-k3,G3+i3-j3-k3))

Maybe it's a typo but j3+I3-j3-k3 can be simplified to I3-k3.

You might also try the ISBLANK worksheet function in your IF statements.

eg

=if(isblank(f3),"",if(isblank(g3),j3+I3-j3-k3,G3+i3-j3-k3))
