    Subtotals do not work correctly

I can not seem to get my subtotaling tool in Excel 2003 on one of my computers to work correctly. It works on the other computer just fine, and used to on this one. Out of nowhere it started placing the subtotals in incorrect rows.
To explain in detail: I subtotal the worksheet three times. One within another within another. Normaly my end result looks like this:

    AAA B 1 10 ACCT
    AAA B 1 12.5 ACCT
    AAA B 1 16.5 ACCT
    B Total 3
    AAA S 1 11.5 ACCT
    AAA S 1 12 ACCT
    AAA S 1 18 ACCT
    S Total 3
    AAA Total 6
    BBB B 1 41.2 ACCT
    BBB B 1 45.5 ACCT
    BBB B 1 46.1 ACCT
    BBB B 1 44 ACCT
    BBB B 1 44.6 ACCT
    B Total 5
    BBB S 2 45.8 ACCT
    BBB S 1 56 ACCT
    BBB S 1 40 ACCT
    BBB S 1 39.8 ACCT
    S Total 5
    BBB Total 10
    16 ACCT Total
    16 Grand Total
Subtotaled first by ACCT (E) and then by AAA/BBB (A) and finaly by B/S (B) , all using function SUM of the quantity colmun (C).

So that when I ShowLevels RowLevels:=4 (The tree view on the left) it would look like this:

    B Total 3
    S Total 3
    AAA Total 6
    B Total 5
    S Total 5
    BBB Total 10
    16 ACCT Total
    16 Grand Total

But this is what I get now for no apparent reason:
    AAA B 1 10 ACCT
    AAA B 1 12.5 ACCT
    AAA B 1 16.5 ACCT
    B Total 3
    AAA S 1 11.5 ACCT
    AAA S 1 12 ACCT
    AAA S 1 18 ACCT
    AAA Total 6
    S Total 3
    BBB B 1 41.2 ACCT
    BBB B 1 45.5 ACCT
    BBB B 1 46.1 ACCT
    BBB B 1 44 ACCT
    BBB B 1 44.6 ACCT
    B Total 5
    BBB S 2 45.8 ACCT
    BBB S 1 56 ACCT
    BBB S 1 40 ACCT
    BBB S 1 39.8 ACCT
    16 ACCT Total
    BBB Total 10
    S Total 5
    16 Grand Total

If anyone can figure this one out let me know please.
    I have already re-installed Excel.
I also noticed now that it works on a new worksheet with different data. I have also tried deleting and recreating the worksheet to no avail.
    Thanks in advance.

It looks like that computer is set with "Replace current subtotals" checked.

    Does that help?

    Actualy that is not checked.

I tried even checking that option and then unchecking it, in case it was corrupt.
    So that's not it.
