help with pivot table formula, please

in a table i have a field wich contains forecast expenses and a field with effected expenses. i want to show, in a column, a year to date value (a cumulated value at time) for each of expenses for comparison.
inserting formula from pivot table bar didn't work, i tried SUMIF('forecast expenses'; ">0"; 'effected expenses').

    can you help me, please?

Could you give an example of how it looks like/should look like?
    Something like: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=368563

I can think of several different ways. The quickest way is to send a zip-file or a jpg picture. But explained in text down below is also ok.
