Macro within a formula

Is it possible to run a macro from within a formula?

eg =If(A1="yes", run macro, " ")

No, you can't call a macro from a formula. It's a good thing, too, as you could be in an endless loop. Every recalculation would read "Yes" in your cell and run your macro again.

What are you trying to accomplish? There may be other ways to do what you need.
