count number of months year to date

[coal_miner]

This should be simple, but i can't figure it out. I need a formula that
counts the number of months that have occured so far this year. Any help is
much appreciated.

Assuming that for your YTD you assume Jan as the first month then Year to
date month
=Month(today())
