Re: I would like to apply the same calculation to an entire row

I have a row and to the first cell I apply the formula "=#/1000". Now i want
to apply this same calculation to all the other cells in the row withoud
entering it manually. Copying across does not work as it only takes the
value of the first cell and I do not want to copy into an additional row. I
simply want to calculate the values in the existing cells quickly.
    Any suggestions?

Enter 1000 in an unused cell.

Copy that cell then select the row to change and Paste Special(in
    place)>Divide>OK>Esc.

Clear out the 1000 cell when happy.

That is very helpful and it works perfectly but is there perhaps a way to
show that I applied this calculation to each cell, for example the formula
    cell would read =####/1000.

Re: I would like to apply the same calculation to an entire row

What does your original data look like?

You state you apply a formula to first cell in the row =#/1000

What does # indicate? Where does it come from?

Sounds like you should have your #'s in cells in a row(say row 1) then in an
    adjacent helper row enter

    =A1/1000 and drag/copy across.
