    Question Simple:Number formatting

This is probably simple, but I don't know the trick. I have a column with numbers.

    0.1
    100.3
    3.442

I need them all lined up on the decimal like this: (Ignore the underscores)

    ______0.1
    ____100.3
    ______3.442

How do I make Excel do that for me? Thanks.

    Chuck.

I don't think you can. You need to specify the number of decimal points. For example currency format actually states that you will line up the decimals.

To alter the format, you probably know that you have to select the cells, right click, select the formating option...blah blah...

If anyone can prove me wrong on this and it can be done, I eat humble pie.
