How do I convert cells containing formulas to text (value returned

Is there a way to convert the data returned from a formula to text and remove
the formula? For example, I have a cell containing this formula:
    =IF('Current Registrants'!F5="yes", 'Current Registrants'!J5, 0). After the
value has been returned, I would like to convert that cell to the return
value & get rid of the formula. Is this possible? Thank you for your
    suggestions.

    select the range

Copy the formula cell and go to Edit > Paste Special.
Click on "Value" and press OK.
