    Transferring Names into a Pivot Table

    I have about 300 rows of data...one column includes salespersons names in the following format: first name last night (i.e. tim smith). I have moved this into a pivot table with some other data but I now need to sort by LAST NAME in the pivot table. Aside from changing the format of everyone's name (300 entries which would take forever) so that it is "Smith, Tim" in each cell, is there a shortcut around this? Any help would be muchly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    SF

    You could make a new column for the Pivottable then sort on it:
    fishy 8000 --> 8000, fishy
    =RIGHT(A2,LEN(A2)-FIND(" ",A2))&", "&LEFT(A2,FIND(" ",A2)-1)
