Export Excel Dates to Outlook Calendar?

I have a spreadsheet with 2 columns; 1 is a date & the other is work that
needs to be done on that date.

Is there a way to export this spreadsheet into either an Outlook calendar or
task so on the specified dates I will be reminded of the work that needs to
    be done?

    Thanks in advance,
    Mark

Save the Excel workbook as a *.CSV file.

    Go into Outlook and File>Import/Export.

Import from another program or file.

You will select Comma Separated Values(Windows)

Following your nose from there you will be able to map the dates and reminders
    to Tasks or Calendar.

Gord, is it possible to export or link an excel spreadsheet which contains
start and finish dates of scheduled courses to an excel calendar template or
another program so we could have an electronic calendar? I can import into
    MSProject, but licensing too expensive.
