Excel column/row headers

    Excel column/row headers

    Someone has changed the column headers to numbers and the rows to letters ..
    how?

    To change the column headers to numbers go to Tools > Options > and under the General tab check the R1C1 reference style box.

    However, the numbers down the side cannot be changed to letters. At all. Just that the last person I answered this question for didn't believe me.

    Are you sure the rows are designated with letters?

    Go into Tools | Options | General and see if the R1C1 box is checked. If
    so, uncheck it
