    Multiply Time by currency

    Hi there
    I am having trouble getting excel to multiply hours worked by amount of pay
    Below is the cell formats I am using
    Hours worked = [h].mm (cell B52)
    currency = -$1,234.10 (cell B53)

    example of what i am tring to do
    B52 = 11.00
    B53 = $5.95

    formula I tried =B53*B52
    outcome using cell format $[h].mm comes out as $65.27 and when I use the curency for cell format I get this $2.73

    thanks

    You'll need to multiply the time by 24 because time is stored as a fraction of 1 day. That is, 12 hours is stored as 0.5 being half of one day.

    Cheers!
