    replace cell contents

    Hi

I am looking for help with search and replace. Basically, I want to select
certain columns, search for any cell that has any data in it, and replace it
with an x. (I have multiple columns, some cells contain data and some do
    not.)

    thanks.

    Nancy,

Select the cell by clicking the column letter above row 1, then use Edit |
Go To... Special then select Constants (if your data is entered directly)
or Formulas (if your data is calculated), click OK, then type x, and hit
    Ctrl-Enter.
