Cannot get a column of numbers to SUM...why?

I have a very large column of numbers I need to sum together using the sum
function, which I use all the time - I down loaded the information from my
bank. The problem I am having, is that no matter what I have tried
(reformating, copying and pasting...) nothing will work, all I get is a 0!
No error, no clue as to what the problem is...just 0. If I type the numbers
in the next column and sum them, it works...but I do NOT want to type in over
3000 numbers! Any ideas as to what the problem could be. I sure would
appreciate any suggestions on resolving this mystery! Thanks! HHG

hair out...any other ideas? Thanks - HHG

Re: Cannot get a column of numbers to SUM...why?

How about the several other responses ?
Give a go at each response, and feedback to the responders in the threads.
It's always useful to post (in plain text) some samples of your actual data
& set-up. The more the specifics you provide, the less the guessing required
    by responders ..

    Good luck !
