    Looking for help with a fill handle extension

    Good morning/afternoon/evening.

    I am working on a spreadsheet and sheet 1 is referencing every other cell in a column on sheet 2. I'm trying to find a quick way to use the fill handle (or any other time saving option) to drag the reference all the way down a column.

    I'm new to the forum and can't tell if the attachment I uploaded is in the correct spot. I'll generalize below.

    ='sheet2'A2
    ='sheet2'A4
    ='sheet2'A6
    ='sheet2'A8
    etc all the way down. When I try to use the fill handle to extend this it gets funky.

    Excel doesn't know that you want every other cell. You have to build the formula to do it.

    Using your file exactly the way it's formatted, start in B2 and copy down:
