    Sum IFs

    Hello

Per the attached, I would like to Sum the values in column E for the names in columns A which match in Column D next to the value.

eg Sum the values for Paul etc. Not all names will be present in both columns.

Excel version is old, 2010 I think.

    thank you in advance.

    Paul

    Re: Sum IFs

    Hello
    I've managed, with =SUMIFS(E:E,D:D,$A2)

But I think it eased the stress knowing I should get an answer here.

FWIW referring entire columns is not a good idea. Was my answer any help ? ( no acknowledgment whatsoever)
