In the attached file I have set up conditional formatting on column F to show zero values with a red background and yellow emboldened foreground, for emphasis - you can choose whatever colours you like.
To achieve this I selected the cells F2:F32 and then changed the foreground colour on all the cells to automatic, so that they all showed as black. Then (with the cells still selected) click on Conditional Formatting | New Rule | Use a formula... , and then put this formula in the dialogue box which pops up:
=F3=0
Click the Format button | Fill tab to set the background colour, and then click the Font tab | Color drop-down to choose the foreground colour. You can also click on Bold for emphasis. Then you can click OK twice to exit the dialogue box, and Excel will automatically adjust the cell reference in the formula to suit the cells that had been selected.
Now that it has been set up, you can adjust the settings by selecting F3, then click on Conditional Formatting | Manage Rules | Edit Rule, and then on Format to change any of the colours.
Hope this helps.
Pete
