Hi
Let me start by saying i know pretty much NOTHING about excel, not used it in over 20 years (high school), so if you can help, please be as detailed as possible.
I rent out 5 caravans at the moment on a holiday park on behalf of other owners, so my bookings can range from 3 nights to 28 nights, i currently use google calendar to keep track of all my bookings, which is useful for me, but i cant do income and expenses on there for when it comes to my self assessment.
So i am looking for something like google calendar, where i can click on a check in date and a check out date, enter some details (how much the booking is, how much refundable deposit was paid, how much deposit was paid back, my fee (in % as it can change from time to time), and how much was paid to the owner of the caravan (this would be the booking amount, minus my fee, if any money was taken from the deposit, then this to be included as money sent to the owner, as i take no fee from the deposit).
I would like a "big" size calendar with a drop down menu for months of the year, not 12 individual calendars.
Then under the calendar or something i would need an expenses section, this would be things like internet, travel, car, electric etc, maybe a small income section in case i need to charge the anything (i may have to deduct some money for small repairs or something, having it as an income might be easier since amount returned to owner would have already been calculated?).
then it adds it all up for me with a gross income, expenses and Net income.
as i rent out 5 caravans i would need 1 for each caravan, i assume this is just a case of doing 1 sheet them right clicking the tab and duplicating it?, but then i would like (not "needed") a totals tab that adds up ALL my Gross income, expenses and my Net income.
I hope this makes sense? i have downloaded a few templates to help me out, but non seem to match what i am after. i have searched all week for ways to do different things and now it is giving me a headache and my eyes are hurting lol. if anyone could do a youtube tutorial or something for me, that would be great.
It will not let me post links, so i am unable to provide an example sorry...
