    Question Resources to learn about LET, SEQUENCE, WHICH, ... Excel functions

    Hi,

    I am trying to master PowerApps and am struggling with some of the constructs. I come from a procedural development background.

    For example, I want to develop a function that returns the hit on a Wordle Game including duplicates and even through I've written it in a procedural language I can't get it in PowerApps (more than happy to post the question here).

    I was told that PowerApps and Excel are similiar and some examples I've seen use SEQUENCE, LET, WHICH which I am not familiar with. Can anyone suggest resources that can help me. Both text and video-based will do.

    I am not familiar with PowerApps. Just because a function name is similar to one in Excel does not mean it is the same.

    Microsoft has good documentation for Excel functions online. You can start by simply searching on "Excel function SEQUENCE" and so forth. There is no WHICH function in Excel.

    It was suggested that the PowerApps' Named Formulas are based on Excel and that it could be a more condusive environment to understand. It seems that WITH in Powerapps is similar to LET in Excel.

    See this web site for lists of functions in different versions of Excel.

    You will need one of the more recent version if you want to use SEQUENCE and LET. There is no WHICH function in Excel, although there is a SWITCH function.

    The WITH function is not like LET. LET simply allows you to assign values, formulae or ranges to variables.

    If anything, it is more like LAMBDA.
