    Question Creating a data base

    Hi there,

I need to get some detailed information from a data sheet. I'll attach file here. raw data is in the sheet "base". i need to get those data to sheet "data sheet".

In "data sheet" there is a column "emp no". And same in "base" sheet.

I need to get dates from "base" sheet to "data sheet" relating to each "emp no". there are more than one date for each "emp no" in "base" sheet.

I have done some examples manually in attached file.

    Thank you.
    Kasun Prasad.

There is no clothing data on the source sheet ...

Please mock up manually a few rows showing what you want. Empty results grids tell us nothing of much use.

Please be more specific. What is 'not working' - in what way?

    Re: Creating a data base

@AliGW: in my w/book the formula I gave "spills" i.e appears to "ignore" this test ('DATA SHEET'!$A$3:$A$1300=$C$2) but don't understand why

    Re: Creating a data base

I think you still need to enter it as CSE in this case. But I am still not clear on the requirements, so I'm not in a position to troubleshoot - sorry.
