    Conditional formating question

    I'm not as familiar with O365 and they moved stuff around on me.

    I have a conditional formatting question and I can't find the old formula bar.

    I have these two columns
    Rooms Report date
    340 5-Sep-24
    222 20-Sep-24
    43 20-Sep-24
    88 18-Sep-24

    When the date in 'Report Date' goes over 5 days old I want the font color for the number of rooms to go from black to red.

    I know this is easy but was on Excel 2010 and there's too many updates for me now.

    Re: Conditional formating question

    Welcome to the forum.

    There are instructions at the top of the page explaining how to attach your sample workbook (yellow banner: HOW TO ATTACH YOUR SAMPLE WORKBOOK). Screenshots are of little practical use as we cannot manipulate them.

    A good sample workbook has just 10-20 rows of representative data that has been desensitised. The sample layout accurately matches that of your real data. It also has expected results mocked up, worked examples where required, relevant cells highlighted and a few explanatory notes.

    Re: Conditional formating question

    Conditional formatting is on the Home ribbon - about halfway across. It's large and easy to see.

    Create a new CF rule for A2:

    =TODAY()-B2>5

    Applies to: =$A$2:$A$200
