    Post horizontal & vertical search

Greetings. New to the channel. I'm trying to take a raw data file which contains data attributes horizontally (size) and vertically (style & color) - related to a footwear company order form. I normally receive orders via .pdf, then convert data into Excel. Then I want to create a formula that can create a SKUs and Qty ordered.

I thought of using both Vlookup and Hlookup within a multi-"if" statement, and also using concatenate. I also though of utilizing a pivot table. The end result is that I want to have a list of SKU's with sum qty, then take that .XLS and import into our inventory management system to simplify the creation of an order. Normally, the .pdf received could be 100-1000 lines. Sample raw data with end result.

Perhaps there is an easy solution but cannot figure out...

    Thanks in advance!!

    Best, James

    Power Query makes this easy

Power Query is a free AddIn for Excel 2010 and 2013, and is built-in functionality from Excel 2016 onwards (where it is referred to as "Get & Transform Data").

It is a powerful yet simple way of getting, changing and using data from a broad variety of sources, creating steps which may be easily repeated and refreshed. I strongly recommend learning how to use Power Query - it's among the most powerful functionalities of Excel.

    Welcome to the forum.

Assuming that your version is 365 (if so, please add this to your forum profile), here's a spill formula option.
