    Result of IF Formula Not Making Sense

    Happy Monday Forum,
    I've uploaded a sample of the formula that's not making sense - see Cell D3 result. At best I would expect it to return a result of -1, but the formula is returning -3. Can you tell me what's wrong with the formula? Please let me know if you need further clarification.
