Ranked Choice Voting for Multiple Positions

I need an Excel Ranked Choice Voting Calculator.

I found a thread from 2012 with a spreadsheet that works to show who came in first.

However, I also need to see who came in second, and maybe even third.

We usually have two positions that need to be filled. Sometimes it may be three.

Attached is the file I borrowed from the previous thread. (Thank you to User shg who did the work on that file!)

On the Working spreadsheet, can I just delete the values from the winners (Allen) column, and when it recalculates, would that be the 2nd Place?

Each time the winner must have 50% plus 1.

Ballots must contain numbers for all candidates. They cannot leave a number off for any candidate.

Is there a way to set this up so that you can automatically see who was first, second, third?

    Thank for your help.

    Administrative Note:

Is your forum profile showing the oldest Excel PRODUCT that you need this to work for?

Members will tailor the solutions they offer to the Office PRODUCT (Excel, NOT Windows) that you have. Please check that your forum profile is up-to-date in this respect. If you aren't sure, in Excel go to File | Account and report what it says below the MS logo at the top of that page. If your product is for Mac, please also state this.

The three most recent Excel products are Excel 2019, Excel 2021 and MS365 - if you are using MS365, please give this name along with the version number in your profile (e.g. MS365 Version 2306). This is in the About Excel section further down the Account page.

    Thanks.

Wouldn't you just have to look at the elimination table (columns J to N) at the point where there are 3 people left (i.e. column K in your example sheet) ? Allen, Dave and Ethan would thus be 1st to 3rd, in that order.

    Hope this helps.

There will be more like 8 to 10 candidates.

The example didn't include that many.

Please update your profile to reflect that you are now currently using O365. This will make a difference in the solutions provided in the future.
